I forgot the TYPO3 admin password

In case you forgot the admin password for the TYPO3 backend you have two options depending if you have access to the Install Tool or not.

1. Assuming you have access to the Install Tool - call up the Install Tool and go to the Database Analyzer? section. There you can create a new admin password
2. Assuming you don't have access to the Install Tool BUT you have access to the database - go to the database in the be_users table and from there you can change the password by inserting it in MD5? format.
