What is a DB-Mount and how to create it

A DB-Mount is used to allow independent and restricted access to certain sections of a website for the Backend User?'s. The name DB-Mount as such is not correct, a more suitable term would be Tree-Mount.

A DB-Mount can be defined in two places:

1. In the Backend usergroup? configuration
2. In the Backend user? configuration

Defining the DB-Mounts is not enough for users to actually see the pages. Besides setting up the DB-Mount the admin needs to setup also the read permissions for the pages in question. He can do this with the Access module?.
