Workspaces

The Workspaces feature was introduced in version 4.0? of TYPO3 and allows the editing of records pages and content elements? in an environment or Workspace which is not yet visible on the live website. By this the editor can preview if the performed changes are ready to publish or not. If so the elements can be published to the live workspace and then they become visible on the live website. Any number of changes can be published at once.

The moving of elements inside a workspace has been introduced in version 4.2? of TYPO3

Availability

Versioning is available only for records configured properly that have the t3ver_* fields in the database table and TCA?

The default workspaces in TYPO3 are: Draft and LIVE but you can create as many workspaces as you like

The following status exist for workspaces: Editing, Review, Publish, Rejected
